Massachusetts CSL Additional information:
Massachusetts construction supervisors must fulfill a requirement of 6, 10, or 12 hours of continuing education to renew their license. Our online continuing education classes are approved to fulfill the Massachusetts CSL continuing education requirements. Click here to view our course approval letter.
That said, not all online continuing education courses are approved in Massachusetts for license renewal, so before taking a course other than ours you will want to make sure that the course is fully approved by the Massachusetts Board of Building Regulations and Standards.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you report my results to the Massachusetts Board of Building Regulations and Standards or do I need to do that?
Massachusetts doesn’t allow us to report your hours. You just need to provide them with a copy of your certificate of completion when you finish the online course and renew your CSCL license.
Why are there three continuing education courses for Massachusetts?
The state of Massachusetts requires CSL license holders to complete 6, 10, or 12 hours of continuing education based on their license type. The three CSL license types are unrestricted, restricted, and specialty. Unrestricted CSL needs 12 hours of continuing education. Restricted CSL needs 10 hours. Specialty CSL license holders need 6 hours.
Do I need to complete the continuing education every year?
No, in Massachusetts you only need to complete the course every two years in order to renew your construction supervisor license. Some other states require continuing education every year, but not Massachusetts.
How do I know what license type I have?
If your Massachusetts CSL license number begins with CS, then you have the unrestricted license. If your license number begins with CSFA then you have the restricted license. If your license number begins with CSSL you have the specialty CSL license.
Do you offer any CSL continuing education training that is not online?
Actually all of our construction supervisor continuing education training is done online. It can be done on your laptop, mac, smartphone, iPad, or tablet.
